The Philosophy of Tone Proper has always been to do extremely high quality work regardless of time. All of our equipment all the way to the hand built audio cables mean nothing if the man behind the desk cannot deliver on his word. Mastering requires a strange set of skills; borderline OCD, the ability to sit still for hours and most important is a great set of ears.

Mastering is not understood by many and by the time a record is mixed mastering budgets seem to be depleted. This is why we have a rise in the $19.95 mastering studios or worse still is the mastering in a recording studio. I would submit to you that the reason why many records sound great everywhere, have punch, weight, width and just plain sound huge is because of very high quality mastering studio's such as Tone Proper.
